Bryan Tatone is the laboratory testing lead and a co-founder of Geomechanica. Bryan manages the day-to-day lab testing activities and continues to design and improve testing equipment to expand Geomechanica’s laboratory capabilities. In addition to laboratory testing, his technical interests include numerical simulation of a variety of rock mechanics and rock engineering problems. He is the recipient of the prestigious Manuel Rocha Medal for 2017 of the International Society for Rock Mechanics for his research related to the shearing of rock joints. Bryan holds a BASc. degree in geological engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and MASc. and PhD. degrees in civil engineering (rock mechanics) from the University of Toronto, Canada.
